EFFEN Vodka has teamed up with Allies in Arts to release a Pride-inspired bottle to celebrate the Black and LGBTQQIA2S+ community.
The 2021 Pride 365 Bottle honors Pride month year-round as EFFEN Vodka commits to promoting a more inclusive world and culture, according to a press release. Street muralist and LGBTQQIA2S artist Sam Kirk has been tapped to design the bottle that aims to inspire people to live their vibrant lives with pride.
“We’re huge fans of Sam’s work and thrilled with how the Pride 365 bottle came out,” said Ivan Hidalgo, senior marketing director of regional brands at Beam Suntory in an official news statement. “There’s no doubting the immense obstacles and barriers the LGBTQQIA2S and Black communities continue to face, and we are honored to join forces with Allies in Arts and Sam to create the 2021 Pride 365 Bottle not only showcasing the Pride colors but really supporting the underrepresented artists in these communities.”
Since 2018, EFFEN Vodka has released annual Pride-themed bottles that celebrate the LGBTQQIA2S+ community. For 2021, the liquor brand partnered with Allies in Arts, a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower creative artists who identify as women, BIPOC, and LGBTQQIA2S.
“We are very grateful for EFFEN’s partnership in support of our mission to promote and hire artists who are women, BIPOC, and queer,” Allies in Arts designer and EFFEN Vodka decal artist Kyle Lasky said in the statement.
In addition to the 2021 Pride 365 Bottle, EFFEN Vodka selected two members from Allies in Arts to create two sets of vinyl bottle decals that fans can personalize from the comfort of their homes. The Boldly Black collection was illustrated by queer nonbinary Afro-Latinx artist Acacia Rodriguez and the Pride 365 collection was designed by Lasky, a trans artist and activist.
EFFEN Vodka’s 2021 Pride 365 bottle is currently available at a liquor stores everywhere for $21.99 per 750ml bottle. Proceeds from the sale of each bottle will be donated to Allies in Arts’ commitment to amplifying the voices of underrepresented artistic creatives.
