Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, well-known for their charitable donations, have brought the love to Atlanta in honor of the beloved civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised volunteers at The King Center for Nonviolent Social Change during a community service project event with free meals prepared by Black-owned food trucks on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

According to PEOPLE, the local Black-owned food trucks involved in the donation were Paige’s Pastries & Bistro and Parlay Savory Saloon.

At the event, volunteers encouraged voter registration and unbiased, non-partisan information about voting. Additionally, a donation drive for unsheltered and homeless individuals was also set up to collect daily necessities.
The generous pair were intentional in their contributions. They connected with Rev. Michael Bruce Curry, the presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, the keynote speaker for the annual King Center Commemorative Service. He gave a sermon, reciting Martin Luther King Jr. during a sermon at their 2018 wedding ceremony.
