Amazon-owned company Audible has announced that it has hired Zola Mashariki to be its Head of Studio Operations.
According to TheWrap, Audible has appointed Mashariki to spearhead original content from conception through release. She will be reporting to content chief Rachel Ghiazza.

According to Variety, Mashariki has a bachelor of arts degree from Dartmouth College and a law degree from Harvard Law School. She has also attended USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program.
Mashariki had recently been at Fox Searchlight Pictures as SVP of production, overseeing films such as The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The Secret Life of Bees, The Last King of Scotland, Slumdog Millionaire, 12 Years a Slave, and Martha Marcy May Marlene, among many others.
